The happiness of eating chocolate & a recipe for instant oats with chocolate and caramel

It's irresistible, melts in your mouth and improves anyone's day. Of course we're talking about chocolate which, besides all this, brings several health benefits and, mixed with the right ingredients, can give rise to wonderful and healthy recipes.

Still in celebration mode of the World Chocolate Day, celebrated last Tuesday, we will share with you a very sweet and delicious recipe for chocolate instant oats with caramel. But before that, let's talk a little bit about the benefits of consuming CACOAO, this wonderful ingredient for the health of us all.

Why eat cacao every day?

Chocolate, because it contains cocoa, can be quite nutritious, containing plenty of antioxidants. In addition, it aids in reducing stress levels, helps you relax, and improves your sense of well-being. Cocoa can also help relieve some of the symptoms of anxiety, as it helps release endorphins in the body, the hormone responsible for the feeling of well-being and happiness.

Preparing delicious and healthy meals is also a way to relax and be happy. So let's prepare some overnight instant oats! These have the advantage of being very fresh, but they don't need to be prepared the night before. Let's get to work?

INGREDIENTS

For the oatmeals:

1 cup Pure Cacao oatmeals

2 cups of vegetable drink

2 tablespoons of Cacao granola

1 tablespoon of salted caramel

For the caramel:

1/2 cup coconut flower syrup

1 cup of arrowroot flour

1 cup of coconut cream (the thickest part of a can of coconut milk)

a pinch of fleur de sel

HOW TO PREPARE

Coconut flower syrup is made from the juice of fresh coconut, gently collected and concentrated. It naturally has a caramel flavor, but we're going to make it thicker, and that's precisely what makes this recipe an authentic masterpiece, worthy of any festivity.

Make the caramel by heating the coconut flower syrup and the arrowroot flour in a pan over low heat, stirring with a wire whisk.

When the flour is incorporated, add and the coconut cream until well blended (adapt the consistency by adding more coconut milk or more flour). At the end, add the flor de sal and stir well to dissolve completely.

Then add the vegetable drink to the porridge and mix well. Add more vegetable drink if you like your porridge looser.

To serve spread a spoonful of caramel around the inside of a transparent glass. Then place a layer of porridge, 1 layer of granola, 1 layer of caramel and repeat the process until you reach the top of the glass.

Top with more caramel, because you can never have too much caramel :)

Some tips:

Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

I always leave guests salivating when I prepare this recipe as a dessert or I also prepare it when I feel like a treat for breakfast.

I also like to prepare it at the end of the day while watching the sunset and enjoy each spoonful with great joy. Who knew that a simple marriage of porridge, granola, and caramel could turn into such a treat?

Bon appetit!
